Enjoy permanent wildlife video footage from Rosie’s Pan LIVE Cam in the Balule Game Reserve.
The camera is situated at a secluded waterhole, set on a hide near Naledi Game Lodge.
Due to the remoteness of the location, it is completely solar powered.
A borehole also replenishes the watering point, providing a reliable water source for wild animals that thrive in the area.

As a regular watcher my favourite was watching a group of young elephants playing in the water. It was so joyful.
I’ve been surprised to see two hippos in the water. Is this a recent event, or just one that’s new to me.
There are fish in Rosies Pan comming to the surface at night… is it cat fish? Why do they do this and is it seasonal? Are there any lights from the camera or water site that could influence this behavior… maybe easy praying insects?
It is so fascinating to watch such a beautiful part of the world by cam. Thank you for this possibility.
Kind regards from Rotterdam,
Roelof Pool
What is the bird species that sound like R2D2?
Hi Paul,
I wish I’d heard it. But perhaps it’s a crested barbet?

A gorgeous leopard sighting 2 hours before sunrise! 😁
Wow Sherry, how lucky! That’s AMAZING! 🙂
If it would be possible, what type of camera is Rosie’s Pan camera? It has such good quality! And the Djuma Dam Cam, is it a Hikvision or a Bolin? Because in the story of the Djuma dam, the model is Hikvision and Bolin.
Hi again Marcel,
Not sure about Rosie’s Pan camera equipment, best is to ask Africam as they are the ones operating it. Regarding the Djuma Cam, it’s a 24 hour LIVE camera model powered by Bolin technology (Speed Dome HD). As WildEarth puts it, “what makes this camera truly unique is the ability to control its movements, exposure and operating modes from anywhere in the world”. The dam cam is “equipped with a highly sensitive directional microphone and the ability to enter infrared mode”. In other words, “there is no sight nor sound the dam cam can’t pick up”.
Hope this helps! 😉
Hi Michael,
I would love to apply to become a Zoomie, but unfortunately most of the email addresses don’t work. What is the best email to use that works?
Hi Marcel,
To help out as a zoomie, you will have to contact WildEarth. Here’s the details you need (bottom of page): https://wildearth.tv/contact/
Cheers!
We watch the live cams every day of which Rosie Pan is one. When I asked if it was real life, the moon’s location was not where I expected it to be. But nevertheless, thank you for the reply. And thank you for the zoomies on shift every day and night. We enjoy the cams since lock down began. Regards
Glad you enjoy them, Zaira.
Take care,
Michael
Is the webcam real time?
Yes it is, Zaira. You’ll actually see it says LIVE at the bottom of the embedded stream. Just saw some elephants this morning! 😉
Enjoy!
